I'm gonna discuss some rumors I've heard lately. Let's start with the first rumor I heard:

James T. Kirk

He's got a pretty full back story already. There's always a little wiggle room with that but we'll see. I'm on board to have Lt James T. Kirk on board.

Other related rumor, they are planning on twisting his sexuality. Terrible idea. Some things are firm cannon.

Next rumor I've heard, they also want to recast and bring in the rest of the TOS crew as well.

Too soon I think. Save that for later seasons.

I'm hoping this one is false, at least until season 3 or later.

23 weeks of new Trek is coming.
Starting next week with the premiere of Lower Decks we will have 23 straight weeks of new Trek. That's a nice treat after 4 months of reruns.
I dig it. Wonder about after that.

Let us discuss Strange New Worlds for a moment shall we? This is the show I'm spending my $99/yr to support. It's a crowd funded project. Discovery's production was 100% funded my the great geeks that control Netflix. They paid for it just to have the international streaming rights. This show is not as lucky to be corporately funded, but God bless every Trekker that subscribed for Discovery & Picard. It was enough to justify a fan service series we all want.

Next point, I believe they should have a flashback with Captain Robert April, and it's played by Rod Roddenberry. Much reference material had Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's picture as Captain Robert April.

Why not? I think it would be fitting.
This series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the direct continuation from Gene Roddenberry's original pilot for Star Trek.

There has been a viral campaign to get frequent Trek guest actor Jeffrey Combs to play the doctor.
