Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Let us discuss Strange New Worlds for a moment shall we? This is the show I'm spending my $99/yr to support. It's a crowd funded project. Discovery's production was 100% funded my the great geeks that control Netflix. They paid for it just to have the international streaming rights. This show is not as lucky to be corporately funded, but God bless every Trekker that subscribed for Discovery & Picard. It was enough to justify a fan service series we all want.
Next point, I believe they should have a flashback with Captain Robert April, and it's played by Rod Roddenberry. Much reference material had Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's picture as Captain Robert April.
Why not? I think it would be fitting.
This series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the direct continuation from Gene Roddenberry's original pilot for Star Trek.
There has been a viral campaign to get frequent Trek guest actor Jeffrey Combs to play the doctor.
